Ryan is a senior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He is currently pursuing a BS in Finance with a collateral in Entrepreneurship and is projected to graduate in the Spring of 2024. In his free time, Ryan enjoys weight lifting, watching sports, fishing, playing golf, or hanging out with his best friends. 

The idea behind The Oscar Smart Trash Can, and ultimately Smart Shelter, LLC came from one of Ryan's most hated chores in his college apartment: taking out the trash. Ryan's spite for this daily chore led to the creation of a smart trash can that will reload the bag at the push of a button. This is an industry first technology, which Ryan is hoping will make a huge impact on the smart home market.
